Terms, tax, warranties & returns

Credit & payment terms
One of the most important services Air Tech Sales offers our customers is an open line of credit. So that we can provide our products at the lowest possible price, we follow a credit and collection policy based on sound business principles. Our financial manager reviews your credit application and sets up credit terms based on your credit needs, your financial strength, and your history of meeting your financial obligations.
- Direct shipments from our supplier to the customer are invoiced on the shipping date. These orders ship F.O.B. factory, and ownership of the material transfers to the customer when it is picked up by the freight carrier.
- Non-stock products shipped to Air Tech Sales for customer “will call” are invoiced on the date our supplier ships the material.
- Stock material is invoiced on shipment from our warehouse, or on the date of pick-up.
Depending on your current credit status, one of the following payment terms will apply. Air Tech Sales reserves the right to change the terms of an account at any time, and to use payment terms other than those listed here.
- Net 30 days
- Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.
- Joint check
- A check payable to both Air Tech Sales and the customer, issued by a prime contractor or owner. Net 30 day terms still apply.
- C.O.D. (cash on delivery)
- Not available at Air Tech Sales.
- C.W.O. (cash with order)
- Payment is made when the order is placed. The check or credit card must clear the bank before material is released for production.
Accounts unpaid beyond 30 days will be placed on credit hold pending satisfactory payment. Any customer not meeting their financial obligation will be considered delinquent, and may lose open-account status or be placed in collections.
Sales tax
Air Tech Sales invoices California and Nevada sales tax unless the customer has an appropriate Resale Tax Exempt Declaration on file with us. If you are buying for resale, complete the declaration for your state and return it to our office so we can update your account.
Product warranties
Air Tech Sales is a manufacturers' representative sales organization. We do not manufacture any products. The companies we represent have been carefully selected, and each has a reputation for quality products, excellent customer service, prompt delivery, and comprehensive product warranties.
Product warranties are provided by each manufacturer and vary in scope from one manufacturer to another. Each warrants its products for a specific length of time and will, at its discretion, replace or repair defective items that are returned to the factory, freight prepaid, within the specified warranty period, provided proper authorization has been granted. When purchasing products from any supplier, it is good practice to ask for a copy of the manufacturer's product warranty.
If a part needs to be replaced while under warranty, you may be required to return it to the manufacturer for inspection. The factory will issue instructions and an authorization number for returning the part. The freight cost for that return is paid by the customer. The manufacturer determines whether the product is under warranty and whether it failed under normal operating conditions.
Returning goods (RGA)
Items purchased from Air Tech Sales may not be returned for credit without prior written authorization. Special order and custom manufactured items may not be returned under any circumstances. When a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) is issued, the freight to return the product to Air Tech Sales is paid by the customer, and a re-stocking fee may be charged.
Standard stock items may be returned under all of the following conditions:
- Air Tech Sales issues a written Return Goods Authorization (RGA).
- Items are returned within 60 days of the original shipping date.
- Return freight is paid by the customer.
- Items are in “like new” condition, not used or damaged.
- Items are returned in their original shipping cartons, undamaged.
- A re-stocking fee for returned goods will be applied.
Credit application
To open an account, complete the credit application and return it to our office. We keep this as a printable PDF rather than an online form, so your financial information is never entered or transmitted through the website.
